Dear baby Pierce,

4 months from today's date, you are expected to arrive on our planet earth. I can't even describe to you how awesomely excited daddy and I are, although you probably feel the excitement in my body every day. Every time you kick, it reminds me that I've got a little human with legs, arms, a heart, a brain, among many other things, growing inside of me. I am still shocked, to this day, that we were blessed with your presence so soon after our marriage. Pat, the woman who married your daddy and I, was right when she said you were meant to be. How else could we explain such a miracle happening so soon? Its as if you were a little spirit waiting inside of me to get the go ahead from God, and then as soon as he said "go," you began your journey into our lives. You are going to be sooooooo incredibly loved, I don't even know how to explain it to you. The moment we found out we were pregnant with you, the love was instantaneous. Your grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, Reesie, family friends and everyone else who is blessed with your presence will be so in love with you, too! We are eagerly awaiting your arrival, little one!
You've probably been wondering what mommy's been up to this week as her schedule has been a little off. All of my spring break, I've been working on preparing for your arrival. I'm almost done painting your nursery - I sure hope you like the yellow paint color in your room because it took me 4+ coats to get it to look just right. The green and orange look good too. The colors are very bright and stimulating, and I know they will look beautiful with the white furniture that will soon be entering your little room. Mommy even found a little white bassinet on Craigslist from someone in the neighborhood that will work perfect for when you first come home. We're searching for the perfect crib too - we will find one that's just right so you can have many sleep-filled nights :) Mommy and daddy went to Babies-R-Us to register for some of your things last night. Wow, was that ever an overwhelming task! We will probably have to go back many more times to get it right - who ever thought there could be so many different types of the same thing? However long it takes, we will find everything that is perfect for you. We even found some cute safari decorations with giraffe's, elephants and lions too. Your room will be perfect for you!!
Mommy's getting tired and needs to rest up for another long day of painting tomorrow. I hope to be done with your room before the weekend comes...wish me luck! Only about 16 more weeks to go, so you keep growing and developing all you can, and mommy and daddy will have everything ready by early August. We can't wait to meet you and want you to think about how much we love you every second you get!!!!!
Muah!
Love,
Mommy

  1. This made me tear up a little! You and Aaron are gonna be amazing parents, Baby Pierce is one lucky little baby! Sounds like things are coming along nicely, you are way more prepared than I was at 24 weeks. Can't wait to see pics of the baby's room and to meet your little one, only 16 more weeks - Delivery Day is gonna be here before you know it.

  5. Aww! Such a loved little baby! I checked out your registry...lots of good stuff! I love the safari bedding and all of the cute little animals for the wall. The nursery will be adorable! I was reading a few articles about paint colors back when we were going to paint...and supposedly babies cry the most in yellow rooms and people tend to feel more frustrated despite the cheerful color! Weird huh!? I hope that isn't really true :) I plan on painting Isla's room yellow and pink when we move!

  6. I was just being nosey and reading your comments and I have a comment about the yellow paint as well. We painted Colton's room yellow (well the bottom 2/3's of the walls are yellow, the top is a Nemo Mural) and he was the best baby ever, hardly ever fussed and started sleeping through the night at 3 months old and never turned back. To me Yellow is the best color there is, very soothing and Baby Pierce is going to love the color just as much!

  7. I think the yellow will be great :) There is also a little green and orange to add to the theme! We can't wait to start decorating!!! I will post pictures once we start putting stuff in the room. With just the walls the pics aren't too exciting. :)
